Venkatesh Prabhu is an Indian film actor, lyricist, director,playback singer and producer. He is better known for his screen name Dhanush. He was born on 28 July 1983 (age 33) in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India to father Kasthuri Raja (Tamil film director and producer) and Vijayalakshmi. He has done his schooling from Thai Sathya Matriculation High School. Dhanush married to the daughter of film star Rajinikanth, Aishwarya R. Dhanush on 18 November 2004. They have  two sons -Yatra ( 2006) and Linga (2010). He made his debut with the movie Thulluvadho Ilamai directed by  Kasthuri Raja. Later, he appeared in number of movies such as Ethir Neechal, Velaiyilla Pattathari, Kaaka Muttai, Kaaki Sattai, Naanum Rowdydhaan, Thanga Magan, Visaranai.
